彰化銀行2016年底推出「金利HIGH」人民幣定存活動，打出一個月期利率5.1％，自2016年12月30日至2017年的1月16日，優惠門檻為臨櫃單筆達2萬（含）人民幣以上、網銀單筆達1萬（含）人民幣以上。

彰銀主管指出，過去是人民幣一直升值，大家搶著存，後來反而跌破眼鏡，出現貶值，現在人民幣仍在貶值，大家紛紛看衰，但這時候反而是加碼的好時機，未來人民幣對美元貶破7元大關的機率不高，即使貶破也可能只是短暫的情形。

此外，未來的重要關鍵是美國新任總統川普上任後，有可能採取壓迫美元稍稍弱勢一點，而人民幣升值的策略，人民幣的後市並不看壞。

臺灣銀行則是2017年元月整月，推出「人民幣存款優匯又有利-網路優惠方案」。利率優惠方面，外匯綜存的人民幣活期存款轉定期存款，限單筆達2萬人民幣。辦理一個月期人民幣定期存款，按年利率3.0％固定計息；辦理三個月期人民幣定期存款，按年利率3.0％固定計息；辦理六個月期、九個月期人民幣定期存款，按年利率3.0％固定計息；辦理一年期人民幣定期存款，按年利率3.3％固定計息。

土地銀行則是推出2017年全年度的「網路銀行外匯定期存款利率優惠專案」，優惠存款幣別包含美元、澳幣、南非幣、紐西蘭幣、人民幣。其中，人民幣起存金額不得低於5,000人民幣，適用期別為辦理1、3、6、9個月及1年期外匯定期存款。人民幣的優惠依各相當天期牌告利率享有加碼幅度，人民幣是加碼0.5個百分點。

日盛中國高收益債券基金經理人曾咨瑋表示，自2017年開始啟用的中國大陸外匯交易系統（CFETS）人民幣匯率指數的貨幣籃子，貨幣數量由原來的13種增至24種，其中美元權重調降至0.2240，市場認為CFETS只是人民幣參考的三種貨幣籃子之一，目的應是讓人民幣機制更加市場化，由於人行對內維持貨幣市場相對寬鬆，境外人民幣利率仍高於境內，短期利率升高現象可望在春節過後解除。

在多次被外界猜測將參加經典賽後，紅雀隊內野手Matt Carpenter今天終於表態將代表美國隊出賽，另外同隊的頂級新秀Alex Reyes也表示將加入多明尼加國家隊，幫助球隊完成衛冕。

「我一直都想參加看看世界棒球經典賽，而紅雀隊准許了我去參賽。」Reyes接受訪問時如此表示。

而Carpenter的加入則會給美國隊的野手戰力帶來顯著的提升，他能守三個內野位置，甚至也能支援中外野，多功能的守位將會強化美國隊的陣容深度。而優異的打擊能力，將能很好的補上球隊所需要的開路先先鋒人選。

紅雀總管John Mozeliak表示，在不受傷的前提下，樂於看到選手們去參加經典賽，這對他們來說是一個很好的經驗。
